About Us

Michael and Erin Joppa started sweetlocalhoneyco in 2020 with two backyard beehives in Rochester, MN. We simply loved the honey our bees produced. It was like nothing we ever tasted before. Light, floral, and sweet, it was simply the best honey we ever tasted. Our goal as beekeepers is to raise healthy bees and to promote the wellbeing of these amazing pollinators. We love our bees so much we would probably loan them our car if they asked us! We find healthy, happy bees produce amazing honey. We hope you try some of our honey to see what we mean.
